lessons for survivors

More FOR stuff

One of the great things about author events is catching up with people you maybe see once a year, and getting all the goss. What I love about gals like Jane Lovering and Caroline Bell Foster is that you pick up the conversation straight away, as though you only saw them last week.

Sunday (conference day) was also Remebrance Sunday, so we observed the two minutes silence during coffee break. Ian Cundell was brilliant at getting peeps to be quiet, and I broke the silence with "At the going down of the sun..." I got very choked up (not least because Wilfred Owen had been on my mind all through the two minutes).
